If you or a loved one has suffered personal injury from a violent crime, the Crime Victim Compensation Program may be able to help. The program helps victims with certain out-of-pocket expenses related to injuries from violent crime. The program is funded by fines and penalties paid by criminals. The program is NOT funded by taxpayers.
The program can pay for crime-related expenses not covered by insurance or other sources. Our covered benefits include: medical treatment, counseling, funeral expenses, and travel to these appointments. Benefits also include: lost wages due to injuries or criminal court proceedings, residential crime-scene clean-up, residential security items, replacement of clothing held as evidence, child or dependent care, and emergency relocation expenses.
Please be aware the Crime Victim Compensation Program is unable to help with non-violent offenses such as theft, stolen vehicles or dog bites.
